Çanakkale İli Palmiyelerinde Saptanan Uroobovella marginata (Koch) (Acari: Mesostigmata: Uropodidae) ve Rhynchophorus ferrugineus (Olivier) (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) Arasındaki İlişkiler

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, Çanakkale ilinde 2024 yılında palmiye ağaçlarından (Washingtonia filifera)ferrugineol içerenferomon tuzaklar ile yakalanan Palmiye Kırmızı Böcekleri üzerindeki akarlarincelenmiştir. Buçalışmayla Çanakkale’de ilk kez Rhynchophorus ferrugineus (Olivier) üzerindeforetik akar türüUroobovella marginata (Koch) saptanmıştır. Bu akar türü esas olarak, ergin dişiböceğin baş, thoraksve arthropodium’unda tespit edilmiştir. Palmiye ağaçları zararlı tahribatıbakımından incelenmiş,palmiyelerin dallarında ve gövdesinde zararlının larva veya pupalarınarastlanılmamıştır. U. marginata’nın, R. ferrugineus erginlerinin aktivitesini ve yaşamsüresinikısalttığı düşünülmektedir.

Abstract

In this study, Mites on the red palm weevil caught from palm trees (Washingtonia filifera) throughpheromone traps containing ferrugineol were examined in Çanakkale province in2024. With thisstudy, the phoretic mite species Uroobovella marginata (Koch) was recorded on theRhynchophorus ferrugineus (Olivier) for the first time in Çanakkale. This mite species was foundmainly beneath thecaput, thorax and arthropodium of the adult female insect. Palm trees were examined for pestdamage, and no larvae or pupae were found on the branches and trunk of thepalm trees. It isthought that U. marginata restricts the activity and shortens the lifespan of R.ferrugineus adults.
