Abstract

Abstract

Cyberbullying, which can be handled on a global scale, is a deliberate behavior that can negatively affect an individual's entire life. In order to prevent cyberbullying in every field, it is necessary to be aware and have a common understanding on this issue. In order to prevent cyberbullying in schools and minimize its effects, teachers' knowledge and awareness on this issue is important. In this study, it was aimed to examine the solution suggestions of prospective teachers regarding possible cyberbullying scenarios that they may encounter in their professional life. The participants of this research, which is a case study, consisted of 37 prospective teachers in their final year. Data were collected through semi-structured interview questions. The data obtained from the prospective teachers' opinions were analyzed by thematic analysis method. It was determined that the solution suggestions were under the themes of “bully”, “victim” and “school and classroom” and the issue was discussed within the scope of the literature.
