Abstract
Bu makalede, bilgisayarın keşfi ile kökten değişen grafik tasarımın, masaüstü yayıncılık sayesinde yenilikçi tasarımların ilk ürünleri olan dergi tasarımlarında tipografi kullanımı, Neville Brody özelinde incelenmektedir. Brody, 20. yy’ın son çeyreğinde başlayan yenilikçi dergi tasarımlarında tipografiyi daha önce alışılmadık bir tarzda tasarlamış ve kullanmıştır. Öyle ki tipografi bazen bir görselin yerini bazen bir dokunun yerini tutabilmekte, içeriği kavramsal olarak okuyucuya (fütürizm, konstrüktivizm veya dadaizm gibi akımlar da olduğu gibi) aktarmaya çalışmaktadır. Masaüstü yayıncılık ile başlayan ve tasarım camiasında ses getiren önemli dergiler The Face, Arena ve Fuse dergileri nitel araştırma yöntemi ile incelenmektedir.
