Artificial Intelligence Policy

ATEBE Journal Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy

1. Purpose of the Policy

The ATEBE Journal values the ethical, transparent, and responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in academic publishing processes. This policy aims to guide authors on the appropriate scope and manner of AI usage. Its primary objective is to uphold academic integrity and maintain the quality of scholarly publications.

2. General Principles
2.1. Purpose of Use

AI tools may be employed solely for technical assistance, such as grammar checking, spelling correction, and ensuring stylistic consistency. They must not be used directly for generating, analyzing, or interpreting academic content or original data.

2.2. Transparency
If AI tools are used during the manuscript preparation process, authors are required to clearly state:
• which tools were used, and
• at which stages they were employed

This information must be explicitly provided in the Ethical Statement section of the manuscript.

2.3. Accuracy and Responsibility

The accuracy of any content or suggestions generated by AI must be verified by the author. The author bears full responsibility for any misinformation, omissions, or inaccuracies arising from the use of AI.

2.4. Impartiality

Authors must declare any potential conflicts of interest and adhere to the principles of academic neutrality. They are expected to be aware of and mitigate potential biases inherent in AI-generated content.

2.5. Privacy and Data Security

Under no circumstances should personal or sensitive data be entered into AI platforms. Data privacy and ethical standards must be strictly observed in all stages of manuscript preparation.

2.6. Citation of AI Tools

AI tools should not be cited in footnotes or reference lists. However, their use must be clearly disclosed in the Ethical Statement section of the manuscript.

3. Responsibilities
3.1. Authors

Authors bear full ethical, academic, and legal responsibility for any use of AI in the preparation of their manuscripts.

3.2. Editors and Reviewers

The editorial board and reviewers are responsible for evaluating whether the use of AI complies with this policy. Manuscripts found to violate the policy may be rejected or withdrawn.

3.3. Policy Updates

This policy is subject to periodic review and may be updated in line with developments in AI technologies and academic publishing standards.

4. Commitment of the ATEBE Journal

ATEBE Journal commits not to use AI tools in any stage of the editorial or peer review process. The journal supports the ethical and responsible use of AI and aims to raise awareness on this issue by promoting clear and transparent guidelines.

Note: This policy should be considered alongside the ATEBE Journal’s general ethical guidelines and publication principles. All authors are expected to comply with this policy.
