Abstract
Enuresis is a common problem in childhood. Mainly there are three types of enuresis; diurnal, nocturnal and mixed. It has been considered that several different causes take placed in enuresis etiology. During the evaluation of an enuretic child, initialiy the type of enuresis must be determined and the real definition according to the
age of the patient should be done. Family history must be taken carefully;pattern of behavior and psychological problems of child should be investigated. Sleep disorders, daily stooling habits, drug use must be mentioned. In all children suffering from enuresis; disorders causing polyuria, and urinary tract infections, obstructive uropathy, norological dificits must be investigated both by clinical and laboratory methods. Functional capacity of bladder and sphincter functions also
should be evaluated. In this paper; literature related with enuresis is gathered together and the findings of 33 enuretic children examined in our department during a. 6 months period are reported.

Abstract
Enürezis çocukluk çağında sık görülen bir sorundur. Temel olarak üç tip enürezis vardır; diurnal, nokturnal ve mikst. Enürezis etiyolojisinde birkaç farklı nedenin yer aldığı düşünülmektedir. Enürezisli bir çocuğun değerlendirilmesi sırasında, enürezis tipinin başlangıcı belirlenmeli ve hastanın yaşına göre gerçek tanımı yapılmalıdır. Aile öyküsü dikkatlice alınmalı;çocuğun davranış örüntüsü ve psikolojik sorunları araştırılmalıdır. Uyku bozuklukları, günlük dışkılama alışkanlıkları, ilaç kullanımı belirtilmelidir. Enürezisli tüm çocuklarda; bozukluklara neden olan poliüri ve idrar yolu enfeksiyonları, obstrüktif üropati, nörolojik zorluklar hem klinik hem de laboratuvar yöntemleriyle araştırılmalıdır. Mesane ve sfinkter fonksiyonlarının fonksiyonel kapasitesi de değerlendirilmelidir. Bu makalede; enürezisle ilgili literatür bir araya getirilmiş ve bölümümüzde 6 aylık bir süre içerisinde muayene edilen 33 enüretik çocuğun bulguları raporlanmıştır.
