In this study immune complexes, beta-2 microglobulin, rheuma toid factor and immunglobulin levels (IgG, IgA, IgM) in synoviyal fluids have been detected in 37 patients with rheumatoid arthritis and 9 patients with non rheumatoid arthritis as control. The ratio of positivity of rheumatoid factor in synovial fluids in rheumatoid arthritis was % 67.5, This value was % 66 in non rheumatoid patients. We didn't find any difference in the means of immune complexes and immunglobulin levels in both groups. But a significant difference was observed in the beta-2 microglobulin levels in rheumatoid patients. It is suggested beta-2 microglobulin levels in synovial fluids may be helper criterium in the diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis.
