Before submitting your article to the Journal of Integrative and Anatolian Medicine, please read the author guidelines, ethical principles and publication policy.
Language of Writing: The language of writing in our journal is Turkish and/or English, and the text of the article should be written in an understandable, simple and fluent style with technical expressions in the relevant field. Unnecessary and well-known information and unnecessary sources should be avoided and previously published data, formulas and results should be cited and quoted.
- Nomenclature, abbreviations and symbols should be used in accordance with international standards. Abbreviations specific to the article or used in the related field should be indicated in parentheses at the first mention. SI (Systemé International) units and abbreviations are accepted in the article.
- The study must comply with the rules of grammar. In the article, attention should be paid to the use of punctuation marks, spelling of words and abbreviations; a clear and simple way of expression should be followed, and unnecessary information that goes beyond the aim and scope should not be included. Valid scientific methods should be followed in the preparation of the article, and information such as the subject, aim, scope, reason for preparation, etc. of the study should be given sufficiently and in a certain order.
File Format: It is preferred that articles should be written using MS Office Word program (with .doc or .docx extension), not exceeding fifteen (15) pages for research articles and twenty (20) pages for review articles.
Page Structure: A4 size; margins 1.5 cm on the right, left, top and bottom
- Page number should be centered at the bottom of the page.
- All paragraphs must be justified.
- TAB space should be given at the beginning of each line except for the abstract.
- Line spacing should be single.

Title Page
Our journal employs a double-blind peer review system. Therefore, during submission, the title page containing the information listed below must be uploaded as a separate file, distinct from the main manuscript. The main manuscript must not contain any identifying information such as author names, affiliations, or other identifiable information. Strict adherence to this policy is essential to ensure the integrity of blind review process.
The title page must include the following information:
- Article title in both Turkish and English
- Running title: A short version of the title, limited to a maximum of 6 words
- Author information (for each author): Full name, academic title, institutional affiliation (department and institution), ORCID iD, and contact details
- Conference or symposium presentation status
- Acknowledgments (if applicable)
- Ethics committee approval (if applicable): Ethics committee approval for this study was obtained from the [Name of Ethics Committee] (Date: DD/MM/YYYY, Approval No: XX). Ethics committee approval must also be stated in the "Materials and methods" section of the article and uploaded to the DergiPark system.
- Author contributions: In line with ICMJE and COPE guidelines, all authors must clearly specify their individual roles in the preparation of the article.
Main Manuscript

Title: Each article should have a title in Turkish and English. They should be short, clear and adequately reflect the content of the article, written with first letter capitalized and bold.
Abstract and Keywords: The abstract should reflect the purpose, scope and results of the study. It should be at least 100 and at most 250 words, and keywords of at least 3 and at most 6 words should be written one line below the abstract. Turkish keywords should be given according to "Türkiye Bilim Terimleri (TBT)"; English keywords should be given according to "Medical Subject Headings (MeSH)".
- The title, abstract and keywords should also be written in Turkish in the same order. In the articles written in another foreign language, the title, abstract and keywords should be written in Turkish, English and the language of writing. Care should be taken to avoid language mistakes in foreign language abstracts.
- International author(s) are not required to submit Turkish title, abstract, and keywords; the editorial board will provide support in this regard.
Main Headings: They should be written with first letter capitalized; left justified and bold. Without numbering; make your research article structured as Introduction, Materials and methods, Results and discussion, Conclusion and References. In review articles, the headings other than Introduction and Conclusion sections are left to the discretion of the author(s).
Figures, tables, maps and photographs should not extend beyond the writing area, and each should be placed on a separate page if necessary. Figures and tables should be numbered and titled in Turkish and English according to their content. Numbers and titles should be written in Times New Roman 12-point font, with only the first letters of the words capitalized, under the figures (centered) and above the tables (centered).

Plagiarism Check
- Journal of Integrative and Anatolian Medicine, in accordance with its publication standards, requires the verification of plagiarism to protect the integrity of any work that passes the "Double-Blind Peer Review Process". In this context, the editorial board will check the Turkish and English versions of each article for plagiarism.
- Turnitin or iThenticate software is used to detect plagiarism. Once plagiarism is detected, the matches obtained in each study are carefully examined and the matches with correct references and cross-references are sorted. Any remaining matching errors are then identified and presented to the editorial board. The board then decides on a final course of action in the light of plagiarism report. The manuscript may be returned to the author(s) or the author(s) may be asked to correct the errors mentioned in the report(s).
- Journal of Integrative and Anatolian Medicine accepts publications with a maximum plagiarism rate of 20%. If not, the publication is sent back to the author(s) for checking.
