Abstract
1-6 Ağustos 2024 tarihlerinde, Peşaver Üniversitesi tarafından düzenlenen Uluslararası "21st Century Challenges: Equity, Access and Inclusion in Education" (21. Yüzyılın Zorlukları: Eşitlik, Erişim ve Eğitimde Katılım) Sempozyumu’na, Düzce Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi’nden değerli dostum Doç. Dr. Taner Atmaca ile birlikte davetli konuşmacı olarak katılma fırsatı bulduk. Bu vesileyle, Pakistan’ın önemli şehirlerini de kapsayan kültürel bir seyahate çıkma imkânımız oldu. Bir haftalık bu kısa süreyi en verimli şekilde değerlendirebilmek adına her günü bilimsel ve kültürel gözlem ve geziyle dolu bir programla planladık. Pakistan, hem İslam medeniyetinin derin izlerini taşıması hem de uzun yıllar sömürgeci ülkelerin baskısı altında kalmış bir ülke olması nedeniyle bizim için özel bir anlam taşıyordu. Bu nedenle, orada geçirdiğimiz süreyi dolu dolu geçirmeye ve Pakistan’ı olabildiğince tanımaya çalıştık. Bu yazıda, sempozyum ve kültürel gezi sırasında dikkat çeken bazı noktaları paylaşmayı amaçlıyoruz.

Abstract
On 1-6 August 2024, I attended the International ‘21st Century Challenges: Equity, Access and Inclusion in Education’ Symposium organised by the University of Peshawar on 1-6 August 2024 as an invited speaker together with my dear friend Assoc. Prof. Taner Atmaca from Düzce University Faculty of Education. On this occasion, we had the opportunity to go on a cultural trip including important cities of Pakistan. In order to make the most efficient use of this short period of one week, we planned each day with a programme full of scientific and cultural observations and excursions. Pakistan had a special meaning for us both because it bears deep traces of Islamic civilisation and because it was a country that had been under the oppression of colonial countries for many years. Therefore, we tried to spend our time there to the fullest and to get to know Pakistan as much as possible. In this article, we aim to share some of the highlights of the symposium and cultural excursion.
