Abstract

This work deals with the methodology and comments in a sociologist who
had produced pioneering studies in the issues of social change and being urbanized.
It also scrutinize Mubeccel Kiray’s place in the Turkish sociology tradition during
the last ninety years since the establishment of the second sociology department
of Europe in Turkey in 1914.

Abstract

Bu çalışmada kent, kentlilik ve toplumsal değişme sorunları konusunda, öncü
çalışmalar yapmış, bir sosyologun eserlerindeki yorum ve metodoloji incelenmektedir.
1914 yılında kurulan, Avrupa’daki ikinci sosyoloji kürsüsünden bu yana geçen
doksan yıl boyunca, Mübeccel Kıray’ın Türk sosyoloji geleneğindeki yeri üzerinde
durulmuştur.
