Abstract

Published in April 2024, Library 2035: Imagining the Next Generation of Libraries is one of the most recent publications in the literature that comprehensively examines the future of the field of information science. Prepared in collaboration with partners from both theory and practice, the book contains 25 articles across six sections. The studies included in the book emphasize themes such as the general landscape of the library ecosystem, relationships with communities, equity and inclusion, changes in organizational structure, the evolving roles and skills of librarians, environmental factors, and a visionary approach.

Abstract

2024 Nisan ayı içinde yayımlanan Library 2035: Imagining the Next Generation of Libraries adlı kitap, bilgibilim alanınının geleceğini kapsamlı bir şekilde ele alan literatürün en güncel yayınlarından biridir. Teori ve uygulamadan gelen ortaklarla hazırlanan kitapta, 6 bölümde 25 makale yer almaktadır. Kitapta yer alan çalışmalarda; kütüphane ekosisteminin genel manzarası, topluluklarla ilişkiler, eşitlik ve kapsayıcılık, organizasyon yapısındaki değişim, kütüphanecilerin değişen rolleri ve becerileri, çevresel etmenler ve vizyoner yaklaşım temalarına vurgu yapılmıştır.
