Abstract
Girişimci özelliklere sahip olmak, bir firmayı inovasyona teşvik etmektedir. İnovasyon, bir şirket için yeni pazarlar açabilir. İnovatif ürün veya hizmeti piyasaya süren olarak ilk firma rakiplere göre önemli avantajlar sağlayabilir. İnovasyon, rekabette önde kalmak için önemli bir strateji olarak görülmekte, mikro ve makro olarak taşıdığı önem her geçen gün artmaktadır. Taşıdığı öneme karşın inovasyon konusunda kaleme alınan çalışmalar inovasyon türleri konusunda oldukça dağınık ve bazı durumlarda eksik özellikler gösterebilmektedir. Bu doğrultuda bu çalışmada mevcut literatürde yer alan ve önem taşıyan inovasyon türleri incelenmiş ve yukarıda izah edilen literatüre ilişkin boşluk doldurulmaya çalışılmıştır. Bununla birlikte; Manisa İli’nde OSB ve Teknokent aracılığı ile inovatif çalışmaların önünün açıldığı görülmüş ve il bazlı yapılan akademik çalışmalar incelenmiştir. Yapılmış olan çalışmanın amacı; inovasyon türlerini açıklamak, inovasyonun işletmelerin rekabet üstünlüğü üzerindeki etkisini ortaya koymak ve Manisa İli’ndeki inovasyon temelli hali hazırda yapılmış olan çalışmaları incelemektir.

Abstract
Having entrepreneurial characteristics encourages a company to innovate. Innovation can open new markets for a company. The first company to launch an innovative product or service can gain significant advantages over competitors. Innovation is seen as an important strategy to stay ahead of the competition, and its micro and macro importance is increasing day by day. Despite its importance, the studies written on innovation can be quite scattered and in some cases incomplete in terms of innovation types. Accordingly, in this study, the important innovation types in the existing literature were examined and the gap in the literature explained above was tried to be filled. With this; It has been seen that the way for innovative studies has been opened in Manisa Province through OIZ and Technocity, and provincial-based academic studies have been examined. The purpose of the conducted study is; To explain the types of innovation, to reveal the impact of innovation on the competitive advantage of businesses, and to examine the current innovation-based studies in Manisa Province.
