About

Journal of Children’s Literature and Language Education is a bilingual (English–Turkish), international peer-reviewed journal that publishes original research articles and critical book reviews in the fields of children’s literature and language education. Established in May 2018, the journal aims to advance scholarly work at the intersection of childhood, textuality, literacy, and teacher education, embracing both theoretical and applied perspectives.

The journal encourages interdisciplinary approaches that consider children’s literature not only as a literary genre but also as a pedagogical, cultural, and social practice. It welcomes contributions on topics such as multimodal narratives, multilingual literacy practices, teachers’ engagement with children’s books, and the transformation of literature in educational contexts. Each issue also features a critical review of a contemporary children’s book, fostering dialogue between academic research and current literary production.

The Journal follows a biannual publication schedule (June and December) and adopts an article-based publishing model, allowing accepted papers to be published online without delay. As of Volume 5, Issue 2, the journal has continued its publication under its current title, having formerly been known as Çocuk, Edebiyat ve Dil Eğitimi Dergisi.

The journal is open access and maintains high academic standards through an international peer-review process.
