Abstract
Atakan Altınörs’ün “Dil Felsefesi Tartışmaları: Platon’dan Chomsky’ye” adlı eseri, dil felsefesine dair kapsamlı bir çalışma sunar. Eserde, dilin doğuştan mı geldiği yoksa toplumsal bir yapı olarak mı geliştiği gibi sorular üzerinden Platon, Aristoteles, Bergson ve Chomsky gibi önemli isimlerin düşünceleri karşılaştırmalı olarak ele alınmaktadır. Bu bağlamda, dilin öğrenilmesi ve anlamın inşası süreçlerinde insan zihninin rolü gibi konulara da değinilmektedir. Eser, Altınörs’ün makalelerini bir arada topladığı kitabı olmasıyla oldukça önemli bir kaynaktır. Makalelerin yayınlandığı dergiler ayrıca dipnot kısmında belirtilmektedir. Yazarın makalelerinden oluşması sebebiyle genel bir “Giriş” metniyle başlayan bölümlerin sonunda yazarın bölümü değerlendirdiği “Sonuç” kısmı ve “Kaynakça” yer almaktadır. On üç bölümden oluşan eserin ilk baskısı 2015’te Bilge Kültür-Sanat Yayınları tarafından yayınlanmıştır. Eserin son olarak 4. baskısı 2023’te okuyucularla buluşmuştur.

Abstract
Atakan Altınörs' ’Philosophy of Language Debates: From Plato to Chomsky’ presents a comprehensive study on the philosophy of language. The work comparatively analyses the ideas of important names such as Plato, Aristotle, Bergson and Chomsky through questions such as whether language is innate or develops as a social structure. In this context, issues such as the role of the human mind in the processes of language learning and the construction of meaning are also addressed. The book is a very important source as it is Altınörs' book in which his articles are collected together. The journals in which the articles were published are also indicated in the footnotes. At the end of the chapters, which begin with a general ‘Introduction’ text due to the fact that they consist of the author's articles, there is a ‘Conclusion’ section and a ‘Bibliography’. The first edition of the work consisting of thirteen chapters was published by Bilge Kültür-Sanat Yayınları in 2015. Finally, the 4th edition of the work met with readers in 2023.
