Under the title of the article, right justified, the full names of the author(s) should be written with the first letters capitalized and the other letters lowercase, and the title, institution and e-mail information should be included in the footnote by adding a footnote to the name.
References, footnotes, in-text citations, tables, figures, graphics, pictures, etc. of all articles should be made in accordance with the spelling principles specified in 'The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (5th edition), 2001' published by the American Psychological Association (APA). Articles that do not comply with the article template and article writing rules of Evliya Çelebi Journal of Political Sciences will not be evaluated.
Submitted articles should be written in 6 pt and single-spaced before and after. It should be maximum 20 pages with tables and figures and A4 page size. The body text of the article should be prepared using 12 pt, Times New Roman and Turkish font. The page structure should be 2.5 cm from the top and bottom, 2 cm from the right and left, leaving a margin of 0.5 cm from the left, and should be written on both sides. Top and bottom information should be applied as 1.25 cm differently on odd and even pages.
Title classification in the text is done with numbers. 1, 1.1., 1.1.1.1.; 2., 2.1., 2.1.1.1., 3., 3.1., 3.1.1.1. Only the titles 'Introduction' and 'References' will not be numbered. Except for the main headings of the article in Turkish and English (Times New Roman, 12 pt., bold and centered), all other headings should be written in bold and left justified, with the first letters capitalized and the other letters lowercase.
The page number should be indicated at the bottom center of the article.
Articles submitted for publication should not have paragraph indentations in the text and headings.
1Figures, graphs and tables of the articles submitted to Evliya Çelebi Journal of Political Sciences must comply with the format specified by the journal. Footnotes, graphs and tables should be placed on the cited page or immediately following it. Notes under graphs and tables should aim to make these materials comprehensible regardless of the main text. Table and figure captions should be left justified, 12-point font, Times New Roman, bold and numbered (such as “Table 1:” or “Figure 5:”). Table and figure captions should be italicized (Example: Table 1: Number of Movies Filmed and Released Between 1989-1996). Tables and figures should be left justified and the text scrolling feature should be turned off. “Notes” under the table should be written in 10 font size and italicized. Equations and formulas used in the text of the article should be numbered.
The entire bibliography should be prepared in Times New Roman, 12-point font, single-spaced, with 6nk before and after paragraph spacing. Each work entry in the bibliography should be suspended at 1.25 cm. The text should be justified on both sides.
Each appendix in the article should be given on separate pages after the bibliography. Their titles should be bold, capitalized and left justified (such as “Annex 1:”).
If there is a footnote at the bottom of the page in the article and if any source is cited in the footnote, this source should also be indicated in the bibliography. Works not used in the text of the article should not be included in the bibliography.
The spelling guide and spelling rules of the Turkish Language Association should be taken as an example. For detailed information, see the web page of the Turkish Language Association: www.tdk.gov.tr . Turkish dictionaries should be used as much as possible instead of foreign words. When using unfamiliar words in Turkish, the foreign language equivalent can be given in parentheses at the first occurrence. Foreign words in the text should be italicized.
Manuscripts submitted in English and English language sections of manuscripts submitted in Turkish must have undergone a competent language check prior to submission. Regardless of the content, articles that are inadequate in terms of language will be returned/refused. It is important that authors pay utmost attention to this issue.
