Ses İşitme Simülasyon Uygulamaları: Şizofreni Tanılı Bireyler Dünyayı Nasıl Duyar?

Abstract

SES İŞİTME SİMÜLASYON UYGULAMALARI: ŞİZOFRENİ TANILI BİREYLER DÜNYAYI NASIL DUYAR?
Öz
Şizofreni; gidiş ve sonlanış bakımından bireyler arası farklılık gösteren, hastalık yükü ve yeti yitimine neden olan kronik bir ruhsal bozukluktur. En yaygın görülen belirtisi halüsinasyonlardır. Halüsinasyonlar; görsel, koku, dokunma, tat ve işitsel olarak çeşitlilik göstermekle birlikte bireylerin çoğunda gerçekte var olmayan seslerin işitilmesi anlamına gelen işitsel halüsinasyonlar görülmektedir. İşitsel halüsinasyonlar, bireylerin günlük yaşamlarını sürdürürken onları en çok etkileyen ve rahatsız eden belirtiler arasındadır. İşitsel halüsinasyonların görülme sıklığının yüksek olması, şizofreni tanılı bireylerin yaşamını olumsuz yönde etkilemesi ve bireyler arası farklılık göstermesi bu bireylerin yaşam kalitesini artırmak, tedavinin ve bakımın etkisini güçlendirmek için bu semptomun daha iyi anlaşılması gerekliliğini ortaya koymuştur. Şizofreni tanılı bireylerin yaşadıkları güçlükleri ve onların neler hissettiklerini anlamaya ilişkin uygulamalardan biri de ses işitme simülasyonlarıdır. Ses işitme simülasyonu uygulamaları ve etkinliğine ilişkin çalışmalar mevcut olmasına karşın nicel sınırlılık göstermektedir. Bu derlemenin; şizofreni tanılı bireylerin daha iyi anlaşılmalarına olanak sağlayan ses işitme simülasyonu uygulamalarının önemini ortaya koyması açısından literatüre katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir. Ayrıca şizofreni tanılı bireyleri anlamak ve bu bireylere uygun bakımın verilebilmesine olanak sağlayacak uygulamaların psikiyatri hemşirelerine de rehberlik edebileceğine inanılmaktadır. Bu derleme ile ses işitme simülasyon uygulamaları çerçevesinde şizofreni tanılı bireylerin işitsel halüsinasyon deneyimlerini anlamaya yönelik ses işitme simülasyon uygulamaları derlenmiş ve bu bilgiler psikiyatri hemşiresinin rolü kapsamında incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır.

Abstract

SOUND HEARİNG SİMULATİON APPLİCATİONS: HOW DO İNDİVİDUALS WİTH SCHİZOPHRENİA HEAR THE WORLD?
Abstract
Schizophrenia is a chronic mental disorder that differs between individuals in terms of prognosis and outcome, causing disease burden and disability. The most common symptom is hallucinations. Although it varies visually, smell, touch, taste and auditory, most of the individuals have auditory hallucinations, which means hearing sounds that don’t exist in reality. Auditory hallucinations are among the symptoms that most affect and disturb individuals while they continue their daily lives. The high frequency of auditory hallucinations, their negative effects on the lives of individuals with schizophrenia, and the inter-individual variation demonstrate the necessity of better understanding this symptom in order to increase the quality of life of these individuals and to strengthen the effect of treatment and care. One of the applications to understand the difficulties experienced by individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia and how they feel is sound-hearing simulations. Although there are studies on sound hearing simulation applications and effectiveness, they show quantitative limitations. It is thought that this review will contribute to the literature in terms of revealing the importance of sound-hearing simulation applications. In addition, it is believed that practices that will enable to understand individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia and to provide appropriate care to these individuals can also guide psychiatric nurses. With this review, sound hearing simulation applications aimed at understanding the auditory hallucination experiences of individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia were compiled within the framework of sound hearing simulation applications, and it was aimed to examine this information within the scope of the role of psychiatric nurse.
