Abstract

Abstract

Title: Psychıatrıc Nursıng Counselıng In Bıpolar Dısorder: A Case Report
Abstract: Bipolar disorder is a public health problem that has a chronic, episodic course, leads to functional impairment, and causes self-care responsibility, social and developmental difficulties. In this case, nursing care practice for a male patient hospitalized with the medical diagnosis of bipolar disorder depressive episode is described. In the implementation of the nursing care plan, individualized nursing diagnoses, goals and interventions for the patient were determined, and the nursing process was carried out using standard language. Fifteen interviews with the patient started face-to-face and continued online. With this study, it has been shown that the counseling offered by a mental health and psychiatry nurse to an individual with bipolar disorder who is hospitalized can be started in the clinic and continued during the discharge period, and positive results have been shown.
