Abstract
Bu çalışmada, ilk önce Ebu’l A’lâ el-Mevdûdî’nin, tefsir yöntemi ve Kitâb-ı Mukaddes’e
bakışı hakkında bilgiler verdik. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Tefhîmü’l-Kur’ân
adlı eserde Kitâb-ı Mukaddes bilgilerine ne kadar ve hangi amaçla yer verildiğini
tespit etmek ve yazarın bu konudaki görüşlerini ortaya koymaktır. Mevdûdî’nin en
önemli eseri sayılan Tefhîmü’l-Kur’ân, Müslümanların en çok istifade ettiği tefsirlerdendir.
Çalışmamızın esas gayesi de, Mevdûdî’nin konuya bakışını ve Kitâb-ı
Mukaddes’e neden başvurduğunu belirleyerek, adı geçen eserden faydalanma konusunda
okuyucuya da yardımcı olmak ve Mevdûdi ve tefsiri hakkında daha bilimsel
ve objektif değerlendirmeler yapılabilmesine katkı sunmaktır.

Abstract
In this study, first we have provided information about Mawdudi’s exegesis method and his approach to the Bibles. The purpose of the study is to determine how
and how much Biblical information is referred to in Mawdudi’s book Tafhim alQur’an and to present the views of Mawdudi on this subject. Mevdûdî’s work Tafhim al-Qur’an is considered by muslims as one of the important exegesis works on the Qur’an and one of the most referred to sources. Our main purpose is to assess
Mawdudi’s views on the subject and the reasons that forced him to refer to biblical
information. This will help the reader to benefit from his work better and contribute to a more scientific and objective assessment of Mawdudi and his commentary.
