Abstract

Abstract
This paper talks about a permanent magnet motor design for direct-drive home appliance applications. Within the study, various slot and pole number combinations are investigated and appropriate combination is found. Motor electromagnetic design, thermal and structural analyses are all completed for given design specifications and the motor prototype work is started.
