Türkiye’de Yönetim Bilişim Sistemleri Lisansüstü Tezlerinin İçerik Analizi: Eğilimler ve Yönelimler

Abstract

Bu araştırma, 2020-2025 yılları arasında Türkiye’de Yönetim Bilişim Sistemleri (YBS) alanında hazırlanan 315 lisansüstü tezin içerik analizini yaparak, araştırma konuları, teorik çerçeveler, değişkenler, yöntemler ve tematik odakları incelemiştir. Bulgular, yüksek lisans düzeyinde yapay zekâ, makine öğrenmesi ve veri analitiği gibi uygulamaya dönük kavramların, doktora düzeyinde ise daha stratejik ve kurumsal boyutların ön plana çıktığını göstermektedir. Çalışmaların çoğunda kuramsal temelin belirtilmemesi, teori-temelli araştırma gerekliliğine işaret etmektedir. Kullanılan yöntemler ağırlıklı olarak nicel olmakla birlikte, karma yöntemlerin doktora tezlerinde artış gösterdiği gözlemlenmiştir. Özet bölümlerinin tematik analizi, veri analitiği, siber güvenlik ve sosyal medya gibi konuların belirginleştiğini ortaya koymakta; yenilenebilir enerji ve küresel üretim gibi alanlarda ise sınırlı tez sayısı dikkat çekmektedir.

Content Analysis of Graduate Theses on Management Information Systems in Turkey: Trends And Orientations

Abstract

This study examines the content analysis of 315 graduate theses in the field of Management Information Systems (MIS) in Turkey between 2020 and 2025, focusing on research topics, theoretical frameworks, variables, methods, and thematic foci. The findings reveal that, at the master’s level, practical concepts such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data analytics predominate, whereas doctoral theses more frequently address strategic and institutional dimensions. The fact that most studies do not explicitly specify their theoretical grounding highlights the need for greater theory-driven research. Although quantitative approaches are predominant, the increasing use of mixed methods in doctoral theses stands out. The thematic analysis of thesis abstracts indicates that data analytics, cybersecurity, and social media are particularly salient topics, while the relatively small number of studies on renewable energy and global production signals potential avenues for further research.
