Abstract

2000 yılında benim halkbilimleri dersinden lisans öğrencim olan Kristina van Niekerk,

Makria Yaidoura’ı (Uzun Eşek) 29 yaşındaki bir erkekten derlemişti. Bu kişi de

oyunu on yaşındayken 1981 yılında, Atina’nın bir kenar mahallesi olan Holargos’ta

komşu çocuklarından öğrenmiş. Öğrencimin detaylı raporunun temel içeriği şu şekilde:

Bu oyun kendi içinde iki eşit gruba ayrılmış en az 8 oyuncu ile oynanır ve oyunun

bir parçası olarak bir duvara gereksinim vardır. Büyük bir alana ihtiyaç duyulmamasına

rağmen, oyun dışarıda oynanır. Oyunun amacı B takımı üyelerinin vücut ağırlıklarını

kullanarak karşı tarafın, A takımının, vücutlarıyla oluşturduğu yapıyı çökertmesidir.
