Yükseköğretimde Dijitalleşme ve E-Öğrenme: Kalite Güvencesi Süreçlerinin Dönüşümü

Abstract

Yükseköğretim kurumlarının niteliği ülkelerin gelişmişlik düzeylerini etkileyen önemli bir unsurlardan biridir. Söz konusu kurumların niteliğine ilişkin yapılacak değerlendirmeler kalite güvencesi çalışmaları kapsamında değerlendirilebilir. Kalite güvence çalışmaları ise ulusal ve uluslararası kurumlar aracılığıyla yürütülen uzun soluklu bir süreci açıklayacaktır. Bu çalışma kapsamında yükseköğretimde kalite güvencesi uygulamalarını dijitalleşme ve e-öğrenme süreçleri bağlamında ele alınmıştır. Dijitalleşme, eğitimdeki geleneksel yöntemlerin yerini almakta ve öğretim süreçlerinin daha esnek, erişilebilir ve etkili olmasını sağlamaktadır. Ayrıca e-öğrenme, özellikle COVID-19 pandemisi sonrasında yaygınlaşarak, öğrenme deneyimini dönüştürmüş ve kalite yönetim süreçlerine yeni bir boyut kazandırmıştır. Bu süreçlerin başarılı bir şekilde yönetilmesi için yükseköğretim kurumlarının eğitimde kalite standartlarına uygun dijital araçlar kullanmaları önemlidir. Çalışma kapsamında dijitalleşme ve e-öğrenmenin yükseköğretimde kalite güvence süreçlerini nasıl etkilediği ve şekillendirdiği tartışılmıştır. Ayrıca, dijital araçların ve e-öğrenme uygulamalarının öğretim ve değerlendirme süreçlerindeki yeri analiz edilmiştir. Dijitalleşme ve e-öğrenme süreçlerinin yükseköğretimde kalite güvencesi sağlama konusunda kritik bir rol oynadığı ve bu süreçlerin daha verimli hale getirilmesi için yükseköğretim kurumlarının stratejik bir yaklaşım benimsemeleri gerektiği söylenebilir. Yükseköğretimde kalite güvencesi süreçlerinin dijitalleşme ve e-öğrenme araçlarıyla güçlendirilmesi, öğretim yöntemlerinin çeşitlenmesi ve öğrenci katılımının artırılması, kurumların sürekli olarak teknolojik altyapılarını güncelleyerek öğretim üyelerine yönelik dijital yeterliliklerini geliştirmeye yönelik düzenlemeler yapması önerilmektedir.

Digitalization and E-Learning in Higher Education: The Transformation of Quality Assurance Processes

Abstract

The quality of higher education institutions is a crucial factor influencing the developmental progress of nations. Evaluations of these institutions' quality can be conducted within the framework of quality assurance practices. Quality assurance represents a long-term process, carried out through both national and international organizations. This study explores the role of quality assurance in higher education, particularly in the context of digitalization and e-learning processes. Digitalization has increasingly replaced traditional educational methods, rendering teaching processes more flexible, accessible, and effective. Additionally, e-learning has gained significant traction, particularly in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, reshaping the learning experience and introducing new dimensions to quality management. To effectively manage these processes, it is crucial for higher education institutions to integrate digital tools in alignment with established quality standards. This study examines the impact of digitalization and e-learning on quality assurance processes in higher education, with a focus on their role in teaching and assessment. It can be asserted that digitalization and e-learning play a pivotal role in ensuring quality in higher education, necessitating higher education institutions to adopt strategic approaches to enhance these processes. The study recommends strengthening quality assurance frameworks through the incorporation of digitalization and e-learning tools, diversifying teaching methodologies, increasing student engagement, continually updating technological infrastructure, and implementing initiatives to enhance the digital competencies of faculty members.
