Abstract
Üniversiteler kuruluş amacı olarak, farklı alanlarda yüksek seviyede öğretim veren, bilim insanlarına yayın, deney ve bilimsel araştırma yapma imkanı sağlayan üst seviye öğretim ve araştırma kurumlarıdır. Bilimin ve bilginin çok değerli hale geldiği bir çağda, bu kurumlarında önemi artmaktadır. Konunun öneminden dolayı, bu çalışmada kuruluş tarihlerine göre Türkiye’de kurulu olan en eski ve köklü vakıf üniversiteleri, öğretim imkanları ve sağladıkları fiziki ortam yönünden, araştırma çıktıları yönünden, ücretlendirme ve harcama politikalarını incelemeye imkan sunacak şekilde mali yönden olmak üzere üç farklı başlıkta değerlendirilmektedir. Performans sınaması için literatürde popüler olarak kullanılan Veri Zarflama Analizi ve Çarpraz Etkinlik yöntemleri kullanılmaktadır.
