Abstract
Osteomalar, kompakt veya süngerimsi kemiğin proliferasyonu ile karakterize, en fazla kraniofasiyal kemiklerde görülen, yavaş büyüyen, ağrısız benign lezyonlardır. Lokalizasyonlarına göre periferal, santral ve ekstraskeletal olmak üzere üç şekli vardır. Mandibulada soliter periferal osteomalar ise nadir görülmektedir. Çenelerde bulunan osteomalar boyut ve lokalizasyonuna bağlı olarak trismus, fasiyal asimetri, konuşma ve yutkunmada zorluğa neden olabilirler. Bu vaka sunumunda mandibulada görülen bir periferal osteoma sunulmaktadır. Otuz beş yaşında bir kadın hasta kliniğimize sağ alt çenede 6 yıldır var olan ağrısız şişlik şikayeti ile başvurdu. Bilgisayarlı tomografi incelemesinde osteomayla uyumlu uniform radyopak kitle izlendi. Fonksiyon ve estetik açıdan bir şikayeti olmayan hasta takibe alındı.

Abstract
Osteomas are slow-growing painless benign lesions that are most commonly seen in craniofacial bones and characterized by proliferation of compact or spongy bone. According to localization, there are three types: peripheral, central and extraskeletal osteoma. Peripheral solitary osteomas are rarely seen in the mandible. Osteomas in the jaws may cause trismus, facial asymmetry, difficulty in speech and swallowing depending on their size and localization. In this report, a peripheral osteoma which is seen in mandible is presented. A 35 year-old female patient was admitted to our clinic with a complaint of painless swelling in her right lower jaw for the last 6 years. Computed tomography examination revealed an uniform radiopaque mass consistent with osteoma. Patient was followed up as she had no functional or esthetic complaint.
