Evren Karayel Gökkaya graduated from The Education of Fine Arts Faculty of Trakya University in 2001. In 2006 she completed her master program at Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University and started PhD at Social Sciences Institute of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. In her PhD period she had been studied at Urbino Fine Arts Academy in Italy through one year. Her artworks had been accepted some collections in Italy. 2012 she completed her PhD program. She became associate professor in 2015 and professor in 2020. The artist still has been lecturing on painting and drawing studio as a professor in the Painting Department of Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University Fine Art Faculty and had been serving as the faculty dean until 2023 from 2021. At present she is the vice rector of Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University. She participated and her artworks were exhibited in various national and international exhibitions and contests which has the Sovereign Art Price among them. She had many solo exhibitions and her works of art are in many private and museum collections.
