Yeşil Örgütsel Davranış ve Çevre Bilincinin Örgütsel Performansa Etkisi

Abstract

Yeşil örgütsel davranış, çalışanların çevreye duyarlı tutum ve eylemler geliştirerek iş süreçlerinde sürdürülebilirliği desteklemesiyle ortaya çıkar. Günümüzde doğal kaynakların hızla tükenmesi ve çevresel sorunların artması, işletmeleri sürdürülebilirlik odaklı yaklaşımlar benimsemeye zorlamaktadır. Bu bağlamda, çevresel etkisi yüksek olan tekstil sektöründe yeşil davranışların benimsenmesi, sadece çevresel sorumluluk değil, aynı zamanda kurumsal başarı açısından da stratejik bir gerekliliktir. Tekstil çalışanları üzerinde yapılan bu çalışmanın amacı, yeşil örgütsel davranış ve çevre bilincinin örgütsel performansa etkisini belirlemektir. Çalışmanın örneklemi, İstanbul’da tekstil sektöründe çalışan ve tesadüfi örneklem yöntemi ile seçilen, 522 kişiden oluşmaktadır. Nicel desen ile tasarlanan araştırmada, tanımlayıcı istatistikler, açıklayıcı faktör analizi, doğrulayıcı faktör analizi, korelasyon analizi ve ilişkilerin belirlenmesine ve hipotezlerin test edilmesine yönelik yapısal eşitlik modeli (YEM) uygulanmış ve sonuçlar değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırmada, yeşil örgütsel davranış ve çevre bilincinin örgütsel performansa etkisi incelenmiş; elde edilen sonuçlar, çevresel duyarlılık ve çalışan katılımının performans üzerinde olumlu etkileri olduğunu göstermiştir. Yeşil uygulamaların çalışanlar tarafından sahiplenilmesi, kurumların sürdürülebilirlik hedeflerine ulaşmasında güçlü bir destekleyici unsur olarak değerlendirilmektedir.

The Impact of Green Organizational Behavior and Environmental Awareness on Organizational Performance

Abstract

Green organizational behavior manifests when employees develop environmentally conscious attitudes and actions that support sustainability within business processes. Today, the rapid depletion of natural resources and increasing environmental issues compel companies to adopt sustainable approaches. In this context, adopting green behaviors in the environmentally-impactful textile industry is not only an environmental responsibility but also a strategic necessity for corporate success. The aim of this study, which was conducted on textile workers, is to determine the effect of green organizational behavior and environmental awareness on organizational performance. The sample consists of 522 individuals working in the textile sector in Istanbul, selected through a random sampling method. Utilizing a quantitative design, the research applied descriptive statistics, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and a structural equation model (SEM) to identify relationships and test hypotheses. The study examined the impact of green organizational behavior and environmental awareness on organizational performance; the findings indicated that environmental sensitivity and employee participation positively influence performance. The adoption of green practices by employees is evaluated as a strong supporting factor in achieving the sustainability goals of organizations.
