Abstract
Bir Korku ve Nefret Söylemi Olarak İslamofobi, Batı toplumlarında 11 Eylül sonrası artan İslam karşıtı söylemleri inceleyen disiplinlerarası bir çalışmadır. İbrahim Kalın ve John Esposito'nun editörlüğünde, farklı akademik disiplinlerden gelen yazarlar, İslamofobiyi tarihsel, siyasal, sosyolojik ve kültürel boyutlarıyla ele almakta; söylem analizlerinden medya eleştirilerine, siyasal yasalardan toplumsal ayrımcılığa kadar geniş bir perspektifle meseleye yaklaşmaktadır. Kitapta, Batı'nın ötekisi olarak konumlandırılan İslam düşmanlığının modern seküler ve liberal düşüncenin içinden nasıl türediği sorgulanmakta, ayrıca bu ideolojik önyargılarla mücadele için çözümler sunulmaktadır.

Abstract
Islamophobia: The Challenge of Pluralism in the 21st Century is an interdisciplinary study that examines the rise of anti-Islamic rhetoric in Western societies in the post-9/11 era. Edited by İbrahim Kalın and John Esposito, the work brings together authors from various academic disciplines who explore Islamophobia through historical, political, sociological, and cultural lenses. The contributors approach the issue from a broad perspective, encompassing discourse analysis, media critique, political legislation, and social discrimination. The book questions how hostility toward Islam—framed as the "other" of the West—emerges from within modern secular and liberal thought, and offers solutions to confront these ideological biases.
