Haber Kaynağı Olarak Sosyal Medya Platformları: Yeni Gazetecilik Pratikleri Üzerine Bir Araştırma

Abstract

Bu çalışma, Türkiye'de sosyal medya platformlarının haber üretim süreçlerini nasıl şekillendirdiğine odaklanmaktadır. Türkiye'de yeni gazetecilik pratiklerinin bu süreçlerdeki rolünü sorgulayan çalışmaların sınırlı olduğu görülmektedir. Bu bağlamda, gazetecilerin sosyal medya platformlarını haber kaynağı olarak kullanma biçimlerini inceleyen çalışma, yeni gazetecilik pratiklerini benimseyen ve bu alanda faaliyet gösteren gazetecilerle gerçekleştirilen derinlemesine görüşmelere dayanmaktadır. Araştırma, Türkiye’de SEO haberciliği, podcast haberciliği, drone gazeteciliği, mobil gazetecilik ve yavaş gazetecilik alanlarında çalışan gazetecilerin sosyal medya platformlarını haber kaynağı olarak kullanma durumlarını ve bu kaynaklardan elde edilen haberlerin güvenilirliğine ilişkin tutumlarını Türkiye bağlamında incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. İki aylık sürede çevrim içi ortamda gerçekleştirilen görüşmelerden elde edilen veriler, niteliksel içerik analizi yöntemiyle değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma bulguları, yeni gazetecilik alanlarında faaliyet gösteren gazetecilerin sosyal medya platformlarını aktif bir şekilde kullandığını ve bu platformları birer haber kaynağı olarak değerlendirdiğini ortaya koymaktadır. Ancak gazetecilerin sosyal medyayı güvenilir bir haber kaynağı olarak görmedikleri sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
