AUTHOR GUIDELINES

     1. Manuscript Categories

            - Research Paper

            - Review Paper

      2. Manuscript Preparation

        2.1. Title Page

            - Paper title: Max 15 words, Garamond, 12 pt, bold, capitalized first word

            - Author names: Garamond, 10 pt, bold, with ORCID iD links indicated via “34562

            - Affiliations: Department, Institution, Postal Code, City, Country; e-mail address

            - Indicate the corresponding author.

        2.2. Abstract and Keywords

            - Abstract: 200–225 words, both in English (Abstract) and Turkish (Öz)

            - Font: Garamond, 9 pt, single-spaced

            - Keywords: 3–5 keywords (with a period at the end)

        2.3. Body of the Manuscript

            - Length: Max 10,000 words

        Font & Layout:

            - Font: Garamond, 11 pt

            - Paragraphs: 1.15 line spacing, 1 cm first-line indent

            - Margins: 1.8 cm all sides

            - Alignment: Justified

            - Format: A4 size, Word document

        2.4. Headings

        Use the following heading styles consistently:

                1st Level: Bold, ALL CAPS

                2nd Level: Bold, Capitalize First Letter

                3rd Level: Bold, First word capitalized, others lowercase

                4th Level: Bold Italic, First word capitalized, others lowercase

        2.5. Citations and References

            - Use APA style (7th edition).

            - Insert citations using MS Word’s “Insert Citation” or tools like Mendeley.

            - For specific pages: e.g., (Schafer et al., 2019, p. 12) or (pp. 12–14)

            - References are auto-generated and appear at the end in 10 pt, single spacing, with 1 space between entries.

            - Include DOI where available.

        2.6. Tables and Figures

        Tables:

            - Caption above, centered, initial caps, no period

            - Use horizontal lines only.

            - Numbered sequentially (Table 1, 2...)

        Figures:

            - Caption below, centered, initial caps, no period

            - Numbered sequentially (Figure 1, 2...)

            - Minimum resolution: 300 dpi

            - Cite sources for reused or adapted tables/figures

    3. Language and Style

            - Articles can be written in English or Turkish.

            - Use periods (.) for decimals in English; commas (,) in Turkish.

            - Passive voice is acceptable but clarity and conciseness are essential.

            - Use bullet points if needed.

    4. Sections Required at the End

            - Acknowledgments: “Not applicable” if none.

            - Ethical Statement & General Statements: Must include “This article meets the standards of research and publication ethics.”            

            - Authors’ Contributions: Use initials and surnames, e.g., Idea/Concept: A. Surname; Data Collection: B. Surname. Must include: “All authors have read and approved the final manuscript.”            

            - Funding: If none, write “Not applicable.”.

            - Availability of Data and Materials: “Not applicable” if none.

            - Competing Interests: If none, write: “The authors declare that they have no competing interests.”.               

    5. Submission Process

            Submit manuscripts through: ttps://dergipark.org.tr/pub/jass. Ensure the file is in .docx format and includes all required components.

    6. Ethical Considerations

            Submissions must adhere to international ethical standards. Provide ethics approval details if required.

    7. License

            All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License.          

            We would like to remind you that, in accordance with our journal's Publication Ethics Principles, manuscripts with a similarity rate higher than 20%, including references, in the plagiarism prevention software may be returned to the authors.
