The Mediating Role of Organizational Agility between Organizational Performance and Sustainable Competitive Strategies

Abstract

Healthcare firms must improve their performance to be competitive in the rapidly changing healthcare sector, which is being driven by technological developments, regulatory changes, and growing competition. Healthcare organizations must increase their agility in order to swiftly adjust to the changing needs of patients and society in order to implement a sustainable competitive strategy. The purpose of this study is to investigate how organizational agility mediates the link between organizational performance and sustainable competitive strategies. Employees in Aegean healthcare organizations are the sample of the study, and the hypotheses are tested using structural equation modeling (SEM). The findings demonstrate that organizational agility and sustainable competitive strategies both have a major influence on organizational success. Additionally, it is shown that organizational agility plays a crucial mediating role in the link between organizational performance and sustainable competitive strategies. These results highlight how crucial organizational agility is for healthcare organizations as it aids in the development of competitive strategies and performance enhancements, both of which help them gain a sustained competitive edge.

Örgütsel Performans ve Sürdürülebilir Rekabet Stratejileri Arasında Örgütsel Çevikliğin Aracılık Rolü

Abstract

Sağlık hizmetleri firmaları, teknolojik gelişmeler, mevzuat değişiklikleri ve artan rekabet nedeniyle hızla değişen sağlık hizmetleri sektöründe rekabetçi olabilmek için performanslarını iyileştirmelidir. Sağlık kuruluşları, sürdürülebilir bir rekabet stratejisi uygulayabilmek amacıyla hastaların ve toplumun değişen ihtiyaçlarına hızlı bir şekilde uyum sağlayabilmek için çevikliklerini artırmalıdır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, örgütsel çevikliğin örgütsel performans ve sürdürülebilir rekabet stratejileri arasındaki bağlantıya nasıl aracılık ettiğini araştırmaktır. Ege'deki sağlık kurumlarında çalışanlar çalışmanın konusunu oluşturmakta ve hipotezler yapısal eşitlik modellemesi (YEM) kullanılarak test edilmektedir. Bulgular, örgütsel çeviklik ve sürdürülebilir rekabet stratejilerinin her ikisinin de örgütsel başarı üzerinde önemli bir etkiye sahip olduğunu göstermektedir. Ayrıca, örgütsel çevikliğin örgütsel performans ve sürdürülebilir rekabet stratejileri arasındaki bağlantıda önemli bir aracılık rolü oynadığı gösterilmiştir. Bu sonuçlar, her ikisi de sürdürülebilir bir rekabet avantajı elde etmelerine yardımcı olan rekabet stratejilerinin ve performans iyileştirmelerinin geliştirilmesine yardımcı olduğu için örgütsel çevikliğin sağlık kuruluşları için ne kadar önemli olduğunu vurgulamaktadır.
