The Journal of Sustainability, Management, & Economics (JSMaEc) publishes original empirical and theoretical studies, review articles, book critiques, and letters to the editor, focusing on sustainability across a diverse range of disciplines. It encourages research on sustainable finance, green banking, investment strategies, and sustainable business models, as well as the impact of technological innovations—such as digital transformation, artificial intelligence, big data, and fintech—on managerial and economic applications. The journal also welcomes studies that examine the multifaceted impacts of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and ethical practices on individuals, businesses, and society. In addition, topics such as marketing, tax and administrative law, budget theory and policy, and other public finance issues, along with public administration, political science, international relations, migration policies, sustainable development policies, microfinance, macrofinance, and both micro- and macroeconomics, are within the journal’s scope. It further encompasses research on social entrepreneurship and poverty alleviation.
JSMaEc also highlights environmental economics, green policies, market-based solutions, and innovative approaches to combating climate change. Themes such as women’s leadership, diversity and equity in corporate governance, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) policies, performance, and reporting are integral research areas. Through a multidisciplinary approach, the journal explores the economic and social sustainability implications of these topics, aiming to strengthen knowledge-sharing among academics, researchers, policymakers, and professionals.
Published biannually in June and December, JSMaEc is a peer-reviewed, electronic, and international journal that seeks to contribute to the dissemination of research supporting global sustainability goals, within management, economics, and other fields relevant to the scope of the journal. Submitted manuscripts undergo an initial review by the editors for scientific clarity and adherence to submission guidelines. Manuscripts deemed suitable are sent to at least two independent reviewers recognised for their expertise in the field, where they undergo a double-blind peer review process. Based on reviewer evaluations, the editor decides whether to publish or reject the manuscript.
