Kafkas University Journal of Economics and Administrative Sciences Faculty (KAUJEASF) aims to publish research articles that provide in-depth analyses in the fields of Economics, Business Administration, and Political Science, twice a year (in June and December). In this context, studies that are directly related to these core fields or intersect with them and offer original academic contributions are also considered within the scope of evaluation.
In line with the objectives of KAUJEASF:
* Submitted manuscripts must not have been previously evaluated or rejected by KAÜİİBFD, published on any academic platform, or simultaneously submitted to another journal for consideration.
* In addition to submissions from academics, original scientific contributions from researchers and professionals working in applied fields are also considered within the scope of evaluation.
* An author cannot have more than one article published in two different volumes, nor can multiple submissions from the same author be under evaluation simultaneously. Moreover, the number of articles published in a single issue by authors affiliated with the same institution must not exceed 10% of the total number of articles. This policy aims to ensure scientific and institutional diversity, equal publication opportunities, and balance in academic representation.
* The journal accepts manuscripts written in both Turkish and English; however, studies written in English, supported by in-depth analysis and based on qualitative or quantitative methods, are prioritized during the evaluation process.
* Only original research articles with scholarly merit are accepted for review. Other types of manuscripts, such as reviews or book introductions, are not considered for publication.
* Descriptive studies lacking theoretical depth and analytical contribution—such as those limited to presenting basic statistics or classification of data—are not accepted as research articles under the journal’s editorial policy. To be eligible for review, submissions must be structured around clear research questions or hypotheses, grounded in a theoretical framework, and supported by scientific methodology. The methodology (qualitative or quantitative) must be explicitly described, and the article should present original findings, interpretations, and discussions that contribute to the relevant literature.
* The journal supports studies that fall within its scope and offer solutions to global challenges, have social or technological relevance, or aim to inform policy development. Priority is given to submissions that focus on current and thematic issues such as digital transformation, climate change, sustainable development, financial inclusion, regional development, migration and demographic change, and social inequalities.
* Articles derived from conference/symposium proceedings or master’s theses are not accepted under the journal’s publication policy. However, studies derived from doctoral dissertations are eligible for evaluation, provided they are submitted in English.
* All submissions are subject to a similarity check. The total similarity index, excluding the references section, must not exceed 20%, and similarity from a single source must not exceed 3%. Manuscripts exceeding these limits are excluded from the evaluation process.
* Authors must ensure that manuscripts comply with research and publication ethics. For studies involving human participants (e.g., surveys), approval from an ethics committee is mandatory, and this approval must be explicitly stated and documented within the manuscript. Additionally, the use of third-party materials (e.g., scales, surveys, images) requires permission from the copyright holders, and such permissions must be acknowledged in the manuscript. Submissions lacking ethical approval or proper intellectual property and copyright documentation will not be considered for evaluation under the journal’s policy.
