Abstract
Women's headdresses in Anatolia are quite diverse and meaningful. Women's headdresses have always been considered remarkable by artists, sociologists, archaeologists, historians, and travelers. Headdress; it is symbolized as an element of strength, courage, dominance, lucky charm, beauty, ornament, fertility, protection and intention. Anatolian women's headdresses and clothes express a traditional sense of beauty. Also, the aesthetic and artistic characteristics of headwear are important in determining the status. The headdresses are the works of cultural accumulation. A study on female head ornaments in Şükraniye, Susuzören and Hocalar villages of Uşak province between 1969-1970 is in Uşak City Museum. Fabrics, colors, ornamental materials and head tyings are analyzed in the light of this resource which consists of detailed drawings of bridal heads and female heads.
