Negative Childhood Experiences and Mental Representations of Attachment

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the relationships between childhood traumas and attachment styles in a theoretical context. The studies were accessed by typing the keywords "attachment styles" and "childhood traumas" into the YÖK thesis, Pubmed, and Google Scholar search engines. A total of nine studies, whose samples consisted of young and middle adults, were included in the study. The study attempted to explain how early negative childhood experiences shape the perception of self and others in mental representations in young and middle adulthood. As a result of the study, it was determined that there is a need for longitudinal studies, especially those in which the sample consists of young and middle adults.

Olumsuz Çocukluk Yaşantıları ve Zihinsel Temsiller

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, çocukluk çağı travmaları ile bağlanma stilleri arasındaki ilişkileri teorik bağlamda incelemektedir. Bağlanma stilleri ve çocukluk çağı travmaları anahtar kelimeleri YÖK tez, Pubmed ve Google Akademik arama motorlarına yazılarak çalışmalara ulaşılmıştır. Çalışmaya örneklemini genç ve orta yetişkinlerin oluşturduğu toplam 9 çalışma dahil edilmiştir. Çalışmada erken dönem olumsuz çocukluk yaşantılarının genç ve orta yetişkinlikte zihinsel temsillerdeki ben ve diğerleri algısını nasıl şekillendirdiğini açıklamaya çalışılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonucunda konu ile ilgili örneklemini genç ve orta yetişkinlerin oluşturduğu ve özellikle boylamsal yürütülen araştırmalar ihtiyaç olduğu saptanmıştır.
