Abstract
The book named as Reading Education was published by Prof. Dr. Ali Fuat ARICI. The first publication date of the book was 2008 and this book that is now reviewed was published in 2012 and it is the third edition. It consists of 148 pages and 9 episodes. A technic is given under each title. As Arıcı said in the epigraph “This book aims to cover the lack of reading. (p.vi) The purpose of writing this book is to fulfill the shortcoming in reading and in line with this objective it aspires at becoming a source for reading education.

Abstract
Okuma Eğitimi adlı kitap Prof. Dr. Ali Fuat Arıcı tarafından 2012 yılında yayımlanmıştır. Kitabın ilk basım tarihi 2008 yılı olup incelemesi yapılacak kitap 2012 tarihli üçüncü basımdır. Eser, 148 sayfa ve 9 bölümden oluşmaktadır. Her başlık altında bir uygulama çalışmasına yer verilmiştir. Arıcı’nın ön sözünde ifade ettiği gibi “Bu kitap ülkemizde görülen okuma konusundaki eksikliği giderme amacını taşımaktadır.” (s. vi) kitabın kaleme alınma amacı okuma konusundaki eksiklikleri gidermek ve bu amaç doğrultusunda okuma eğitimine dair bir kaynak kitap oluşturmaktır.
