Authors own the copyright of their articles published in Journal of Spatial Research. Published articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license. The CC BY-NC 4.0 license allows the work to be shared, copied, reproduced, and adapted in any size and format, except for commercial use, and to be rearranged, transformed, and built upon, provided that the original work is properly cited.

Authors retain the copyright and may share their articles for non-commercial purposes on their personal websites, institutional archives, and other open access platforms, provided that appropriate attribution is given, in accordance with the CC BY-NC 4.0 (Attribution-NonCommercial) license terms.

When submitting their work to our Journal for evaluation, authors read and upload a signed copy to the system of the Author Copyright Agreement & Declaration Form during the application. The Author Copyright Agreement & Declaration Form includes the following information.

1. The submitted article is the original work of the author(s) and, that they have not plagiarised,

2. The authors individually contributed to this work, stated their contribution rates and took all responsibility for the submitted work,

3. All authors have seen and approved the final version of the submitted article,

4. The article has not been published elsewhere or has not been submitted for publication,

5. They accept and undertake that the text, figures and documents in the article do not violate the copyrights of other parties.

6. The authors authorize the Journal to publish the article and identify itself as the original publisher.

7. The authors grant any third party the right to freely use the article, provided that the original authors and appropriate attribution requirements are met.

8. This license does not violate or restrict the author's right to protect the integrity and ownership of their work.

9. All commercial rights related to the article belong to the authors.

10. The authors declare that there is no criminal element or illegal expression in the article, that no illegal material or method was used during the research, and that ethical rules were followed.

11. The authors accept that Journal of Spatial Research has no responsibility in any claims or lawsuits filed by third parties due to copyright infringement, and that all responsibility belongs to the authors.
