Peer-review process

34461

The process begins when an author submits a manuscript. It first undergoes an initial screening by editors for suitability to the journal's scope, originality, and language quality.

If the manuscript passes this screening, it is assigned to a section editor who conducts a more thorough evaluation before sending it to at least two expert peer reviewers. These reviewers assess the work's scientific reliability and contribution to the field. This process is double-blinded.

Based on the reviewers' reports, an initial decision is made: accept, reject, or request revisions (minor or major). If revisions are needed, the author must update the manuscript and respond to the reviewers' comments.

The revised manuscript is then re-evaluated by the editors. Finally, the editor-in-chief makes the ultimate decision to either publish or reject the manuscript.
