SELECTION OF ROAD TRANSPORT VEHICLE FOR A LOGISTICS COMPANY WITH CILOS AND WASPAS INTEGRATED APPROACH

Abstract

Among the modes of transport, road transport is a frequently used and very important mode of transport. For this reason, it is very important for logistics companies to optimally select the transport vehicles to be used in road transport. During this selection, the availability of the relevant road transport vehicle alternative at low cost and the ability to obtain high performance from this transport vehicle constitute a decision problem for each logistics company. Based on this decision problem, the aim of this study is to select the most suitable road transport vehicle for a logistics company. In this direction, the road transport vehicle selection criteria determined with the help of literature were weighted objectively using the CILOS method, which is an MCDM method. Later, alternative road transport vehicles were ranked according to their suitability levels using another MCDM method, the WASPAS method. As a result of this ranking, the most suitable road transport vehicle for the relevant logistics company was determined. Finally, in the study, sensitivity analysis was also performed to see the consistency of the analysis. According to the results of this sensitivity analysis, it was seen that the analysis findings were consistent.

Abstract

Taşıma modları arasında karayolu taşımacılığı, oldukça sık kullanılan ve büyük öneme sahip olan bir taşıma modudur. Bu nedenle karayolu taşımacılığında kullanılacak olan taşıma araçlarının da optimal bir şekilde seçilmesi lojistik firmaları açısından önem arz etmektedir. Bu seçim esnasında ilgili karayolu taşıma aracı alternatifinin hem düşük maliyetli olarak temin edilebilmesi, hem de bu taşıma aracından yüksek performans alınabilmesi, her lojistik firması için bir karar problemi oluşturmaktadır. Bu karar probleminden hareketle bu çalışmada, bir lojistik firması için en uygun karayolu taşıma aracının seçimi amaçlanmıştır. Bu doğrultuda bir ÇKKV yöntemi olan CILOS yöntemi kullanılarak literatür yardımıyla belirlenen karayolu taşıma aracı seçim kriterleri, objektif bir şekilde ağırlıklandırılmıştır. Daha sonra başka bir ÇKKV yöntemi olan WASPAS yöntemi ile alternatif karayolu taşıma araçları uygunluk düzeylerine göre sıralanmıştır. Bu sıralama neticesinde ilgili lojistik firması için en uygun karayolu taşıma aracı belirlenmiştir. Çalışmada son olarak, yapılan analizin tutarlılığını görmek amacıyla duyarlılık analizi de gerçekleştirilmiştir. Yapılan bu duyarlılık analizi sonucuna göre analiz bulgularının tutarlı olduğu görülmüştür.
