Abstract
The feeling of acquiring property is an innate feeling of human beings. For this reason, people who want to own property make various contracts in order to obtain the property they desire. However, the person who wants to gain Allah's consent should avoid contracts that Allah has forbidden, such as interest, and therefore the contracts should not be contrary to the general principles of fiqh. This situation leads one to have a general knowledge about the basic features of Islamic economics. In this sense, Enver Osman Kaan's The Place and Structure of Economics in Fiqh offers the opportunity to have a general knowledge of Islamic economics.

Abstract
Mal edinme duygusu insanın doğuştan sahip olduğu bir duygudur. Bu sebeple mal sahibi olmak isteyen insan arzu ettiği mala kavuşabilmek için çeşitli sözleşmeler yapar. Ancak Allah’ın rızasını kazanmayı arzu eden kişinin faiz gibi Allah’ın haram kıldığı sözleşmelerden uzak durması ve dolayısıyla yapılan sözleşmelerin fıkhın genel ilkelerine aykırı olmaması gerekir. İşte bu durum kişiyi İslam iktisadının temel özellikleri hakkında genel bir bilgiye sahip olmaya sevk eder. Bu anlamda Enver Osman Kaan’ın İktisadın Fıkıhtaki Yeri ve Yapısı adlı eseri kişiye İslam iktisadına dair genel bir bilgi sahip olma imkânı sunmaktadır.
