M.O. Korfmann'nın 1988-2005yılları arasındaki çalışmaları sonrasında, Troia'nın daha iyi anlatılması amacıyla, güncel bilgileri de içeren, ziyaretçilerin kaleyi kendi kendilerine dolaşabilmelerini sağlayan, detaylı bir lejanta sahip bir harita hazırlanmıştır. Troia'daki turistler, belirli noktalarında bilgi panolarının olduğu kesin sınırları çizilmiş gezi yoluna yönlendirilmişlerdir.
At archaeological sites, efforts towards conservation and presentation must take into account the very delicate balance between the needs of science and those of tourism. For a very long time the only comprehensive plan of the citadel of Troia was W. Dörpfeld's, published in 1902, which is notable for its 20 meter reference grid and colour-coded indication of the basic periods of settlement. After M.O. Korfmann's work from 1988 to 2005, a new version of this plan presents specific information to aid the visitor's understanding of Troia. This full-colour guide shows those ruins which are currently visible and offers a self-guided tour of the citadel along with an extensive legend. The brochure offers tourists a legible site and at the same time helps to protect the monuments because visitors are directed along a clearly indicated path where information tables are mounted at each area of interest.
