Multidisciplinary Treatment of Left Maxillary Central Tooth with Complicated Crown Root Fracture: Case Report

Year 2025, Volume: 4 Issue: 2, 90 - 98, 10.07.2025

Abstract

Complicated crown fractures are one of the most common traumas in the permanent dentition. It is
particularly common in young adolescents and maxillary anterior incisors. It is very important to provide aesthetic restorations with a long clinical life with correct diagnosis, indication and early treatment in traumatised teeth. In this case report, we aimed to treat a traumatised central tooth with a multidisciplinary approach. The patient had a complicated crown-root fracture of the maxillary left central tooth following trauma. The tooth was devitalised and the fracture line was seen to extend into the subgingival region. After endodontic and periodontal treatment, the restoration was completed
with fiber-reinforced flowable bulk-fill resin composite and universal nanohybrid resin composite.
