A STUDY ON THE PLACE OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP WITHIN THE EDUCATION ECOSYSTEM

Abstract

In today’s world, technological transformations, social changes, and economic uncertainties require individuals not only to possess knowledge but also to think innovatively, proactively, and strategically. These competencies are closely linked to entrepreneurial skills. Entrepreneurship goes beyond starting a business; it encompasses a broad set of skills such as innovation, problem-solving, decision-making, and taking initiative. The development of these skills is closely related to how teachers manage the learning environment in the classroom. By organizing activities that promote creativity and problem-solving, teachers can help students become active participants in the entrepreneurial education ecosystem. This study examines entrepreneurship as a multidisciplinary field and explores the role of education in fostering entrepreneurial individuals. Based on a review of national and international literature, it highlights the importance of restructuring education systems to support entrepreneurial competencies. Creating entrepreneurial school and classroom environments, designing learning processes with an entrepreneurial focus, and strengthening collaboration among stakeholders are identified as key components of the entrepreneurial education ecosystem. By adopting a holistic perspective on the relationship between entrepreneurship and education, this study offers strategic recommendations on how entrepreneurial individuals can be educated and how this process can be institutionally supported. Further research on the concept of the entrepreneurial education ecosystem is essential for developing more effective strategies for policymakers and educational institutions.

Abstract

Günümüzdeki teknolojik dönüşümler, toplumsal değişimler ve ekonomik belirsizlikler, bireylerin yalnızca bilgi sahibi olmalarını değil; yenilikçi, proaktif ve stratejik düşünebilen bireyler olarak yetişmelerini zorunlu kılmaktadır. Bu yetkinlikler, girişimcilik becerileriyle doğrudan ilişkilidir. Girişimcilik, iş kurma potansiyelinin ötesinde yenilikçilik, problem çözme, karar alma ve inisiyatif kullanma gibi çok boyutlu becerileri kapsayan bir süreçtir. Bu becerilerin gelişimi, öğretmenin sınıf içi öğrenme ortamını nasıl düzenlediğiyle yakından ilişkilidir. Öğretmenler, öğrencilerin girişimcilik potansiyellerini ortaya çıkarmaya yönelik etkinlikler düzenleyerek onları girişimci eğitim ekosisteminin bir parçası hâline getirebilir. Bu çalışma, girişimciliği çok disiplinli bir alan olarak ele almakta ve eğitimin bu süreçteki rolünü incelemektedir. Ulusal ve uluslararası literatürün incelenmesine dayanan bu derleme, girişimci bireylerin yetiştirilmesinde eğitim sistemlerinin yeniden yapılandırılmasının önemine dikkat çekmektedir. Girişimci okul ve sınıf ortamlarının oluşturulması, öğrenme süreçlerinin girişimcilik odağında kurgulanması, paydaşlar arası iş birliğinin güçlendirilmesi, girişimci eğitim ekosisteminin temel bileşenleri olarak öne çıkmaktadır. Girişimcilik ve eğitim ilişkisinin bütüncül bir bakış açısıyla ele alındığı çalışmada, girişimci bireylerin eğitim yoluyla nasıl yetiştirilebileceğine ve bu sürecin kurumsal düzeyde nasıl desteklenebileceğine yönelik öneriler sunmaktadır. Gelecekte girişimci eğitim ekosistemi kavramını derinlemesine inceleyen araştırmaların artırılması, politika yapıcılar ve eğitim kurumları için daha etkili stratejiler geliştirilmesine katkı sağlayacaktır.
