Abstract

Abstract

The study aims to examine academic studies in digital finance through bibliometric analysis. The study includes 654 articles published between 2017 and 2024 in Web Of Science database, written in English, and scanned in Social Sciences Citation Index, Science Citation Index Expanded, and Emerging Sources Citation Index. The study determines active authors, countries, journals, keywords, WOS categories, and associated h-index values. Secondly, links between authors, countries, and keywords are determined using the VOSviewer program. According to analysis, the number of articles on this topic has increased after 2020. Consequence, Peterson K. Ozili, Guoxiang Li, and Silvio Vismara are identified as effective authors. When analysing the collaboration between authors, collaboration is found between Jinbao Yang, Yung-ho Chiu, Tai-yu Lin, and Qian Wang, and between Suling Feng, Guoxiang Li, and Yu Chong. The effectiveness of the journals "Environmental Science and Pollution Research", "Sustainability", and "Finance Research Letter" is determined. It is found that the connection strength between the countries of the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan is high. Active keywords are "digital finance", "financial inclusion", and "digital financial inclusion". The findings are expected to be an essential source of information for researchers working in this area and provide guidance for researchers.
