TÜBA Higher Education Research/Review (TÜBA-HER, Yükseköğretim Dergisi) is a peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary academic journal published by the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA). Focusing on the field of higher education, the journal is published three times a year — in April, August and December — with each volume consisting of three issues. When appropriate, issues may be extended with multiple parts or enriched through special themed editions. TÜBA-HER is published in both Turkish and English and is available in print (p-ISSN: 2146-796X) and online (e-ISSN: 2146-7978).
TÜBA-HER’s editorial vision is centred on the evolving landscape of higher education. Our mission is to reflect these changes in academic thought and to contribute original, high-quality research to the scholarly conversation. All stages of our publication process are guided by strong ethical principles and a commitment to open science, emphasising transparency, accessibility, and the responsible sharing of knowledge. We believe that knowledge should be produced, shared, questioned and used for the common good.
The journal is published by TÜBA, an autonomous national institution dedicated to supporting and advancing science in Türkiye. With roots going back to the Society of Scholars, which was founded in 1851 during the Ottoman era, TÜBA represents a wide range of disciplines, including the basic sciences, engineering, health and life sciences, and the social and human sciences. Through its working groups, grants and awards, scientific initiatives and international collaborations, TÜBA plays an active and respected role in shaping the country's scientific future.
