Çalışmada 65 yaş üstü yaşlı bireylerin Z kuşağı yaşlı bakım teknikerlerinden beklentilerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Yarı yapılandırılmış sorulardan oluşan görüşme formları oluşturularak 65 yaş üstü 19 bireyden derinlemesine görüşme tekniği ile veri toplanmıştır. Çalışmanın tasarımı niteldir. Analizde Maxqda nitel veri analiz programı kullanılarak içerik analizi yapılmış ve temalar oluşturulmuştur. Bulgularda yaşlı bireyin (1) sağlığının korunması geliştirilmesi konusunda sağlık eğitimi, psikolojik destek ve ilgi temaları; (2) sağlık kurumuna gittiklerindeki beklentileri konusunda güler yüz, saygı, ilgi ve yardım etme temaları; (3) bireysel sağlık bakımı beklentileri konusunda ise öz bakım, günlük yaşam aktivitelerini gerçekleştirme, sohbet etme, empati, merhamet, saygı temaları elde edilmiştir. Sonuçta yaşlı bireyler sağlıklarını korumak ve geliştirmek için Z kuşağı yaşlı bakım teknikerlerinden kendilerine sağlık eğitimi vermelerini, psikolojik destek sağlamalarını en önemli beklentileri olarak belirtmişlerdir; sağlık kurumuna gittiklerinde kendilerine güler yüzlü davranmalarını, saygılı olmalarını, ilgili davranmalarını ve kendilerine yardım etmelerini bekledikleri; bireysel sağlık bakım ihtiyaçlarında ise öz bakımlarının sağlanmasını, günlük yaşam aktivitelerini gerçekleştirirken kendilerine yardım etmelerini, kendileri ile sohbet etmelerini ve empati, merhamet, saygı gibi değerleri bekledikleri sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
