This research has a descriptive design and is designed in the relational survey model, which is one of the quantitative research methods. The study group of the study consists of a total of 417 participants, 232 women and 185 men, aged between 18 and 56, who were adults affected by the Kahramanmaraş earthquake. Brief Psychological Resilience Scale, Multidimensional Perceived Social Support Scale and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Short Scales were used as data collection tools. The aim of this study is to test the theoretical model developed regarding the mediating role of Psychological Resilience in the relationship between Perceived Social Support and Post-Traumatic Stress symptoms of adults affected by the Kahramanmaraş earthquake. In the study, the theoretical model was tested through the Structural Equation Model. SPSS-24 and Amos-24 statistical programs were used in the analysis of the data. It was determined that the structural model established regarding the mediation role had good compatibility and it was seen that psychological resilience had a full mediating role in the model. The results of the analysis showed that the variables of the study had significant relationships with each other. As a result, it can be stated that psychological resilience also has an effect on the relationship between perceived social support and post-traumatic stress symptoms, but the relationship between them is not entirely due to psychological resilience. As it turns out, an alternative possibility in cases where it becomes difficult or impossible to intervene directly with the social support that individuals perceive to reduce the symptoms of post-traumatic stress is to intervene in their psychological resilience.
