The archiving policy of European Mechanical Science (EMS) covers the following topics:
1. Author Self-Archiving Rights
Authors are permitted to share their articles on personal websites, institutional repositories, and public or commercial subject-based repositories.
Authors must include proper citation to the original publication and provide a link to the article on the EMS website or its DOI.
EMS allows authors to download and share the PDF version of their articles with colleagues without any embargo.
2. Open Access and License
EMS is an Open Access journal published under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
This license allows users to share and adapt the work for any purpose, including commercial use, provided that appropriate credit is given.
Authors retain the copyright of their work and remain the legal owners of their articles.
3. Archiving Locations
All articles published in EMS are archived on the journal’s website and on DergiPark.
Articles may also be shared via authors’ personal web pages, institutional repositories, or commercial/public archives.
4. OAI, LOCKSS, and RSS Feeds
5. Preprint Sharing
Authors may archive the preprint version (the version originally submitted to the journal) on personal websites, institutional repositories, or public archives without any embargo.
6. Accepted Manuscript Sharing
Authors may also archive the accepted version (post-peer review, pre-typeset) of the manuscript in institutional, public, or commercial repositories.
No embargo applies to this version either.
Additional Notes
When citing articles published in EMS, authors and users must ensure that proper formatting is followed. The DOI should always be included and linked to the publisher's version.
