SEARCH FOR METHODOLOGY IN SOCIAL IMPACT MANAGEMENT AND MEASUREMENT: A COMPARATIVE EVALUATION OF THE SOCIAL RETURN ON INVESTMENT (SROI) METHOD
Öz
This study aims to evaluate the functionality and methodological adequacy of the Social Return on Investment (SROI) methodology, which is gaining importance in social impact analyses. The study examines the capacity of SROI to express social, economic, and environmental impacts in financial terms and discusses its potential role in strategic decision-making processes in this context. A qualitative research approach was adopted, and the method was systematically evaluated within the framework of SWOT analysis. The findings show that SROI offers a powerful analytical tool for social investments due to its capacity to make invisible social values measurable and its multi-stakeholder structure. However, the method's subjective nature, limitations in generalizability, and ethical risks are also noteworthy weaknesses

Sosyal Etki Yönetimi ve Ölçümünde Metodoloji Arayışı: Yatırımın Sosyal Getirisi (SRoI) Yöntemine Dair Karşılaştırmalı Bir Değerlendirme
Öz
Bu çalışma, sosyal etki yönetimi ve ölçüm yöntemleri bağlamında giderek daha fazla ilgi gören Yatırımın Sosyal Getirisi (SROI) metodolojisinin yerini, uygulamadaki işlevselliğini ve metodolojik kapasitesini analiz etmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Çalışmanın temel amacı, SROI'nin sosyal, ekonomik ve çevresel etkileri finansal terimlerle görünür kılma kapasitesini değerlendirerek, bu yöntemin sosyal yatırımların stratejik planlamasında nasıl bir araç işlevi görebileceğini ortaya koymaktır. Bu doğrultuda, nitel araştırma yaklaşımı benimsenmiş; SROI metodolojisi SWOT analizi çerçevesinde sistematik biçimde ele alınmıştır. Analiz sürecinde, literatür taramasına dayalı olarak yöntemin güçlü ve zayıf yönleri belirlenmiş; aynı zamanda sunduğu fırsatlar ve karşı karşıya olduğu tehditler çok boyutlu bir değerlendirmeye tabi tutulmuştur. Elde edilen bulgular, SROI metodolojisinin görünmeyen sosyal değerleri ölçülebilir hale getirme kapasitesi, farklı sektörlerde uygulanabilirliği ve paydaş katılımını önceleyen yapısıyla sosyal etki analizlerinde önemli bir alternatif sunduğunu ortaya koymaktadır. Bununla birlikte, yöntemin sübjektif yorumlara açık yapısı, değerlemenin genellenebilirliğinde yaşanan zorluklar ve ölçüm sürecinde etik riskler gibi sınırlılıkları da dikkat çekmektedir. Çalışmanın katkısı, SROI yönteminin güçlü ve zayıf yönlerini bütüncül biçimde ele alarak, sosyal projelerde daha bilinçli ve stratejik kullanımına yönelik öneriler geliştirmesidir. Bu yönüyle çalışma, sosyal etki analizine ilişkin literatüre teorik katkı sunarken; politika yapıcılar, sosyal yatırımcılar ve uygulayıcılar için de pratik ve eleştirel bir referans çerçevesi oluşturmayı hedeflemektedir.
