IKUJHS, kavramsal yeniliği ve bilimsel kalitesine bağlı olarak tıp, diş hekimliği, eczacılık ve sağlık bilimlerinin tüm yönleriyle ilgili orijinal araştırma makaleleri, derlemeler ve vaka raporları yayınlayan bilimsel, açık erişimli bir dergidir. Dergi, bağımsız, tarafsız ve çift kör hakemli değerlendirme ilkelerine uygun olarak sağlık bilimleriyle ilgili konulara odaklanarak bu çok disiplinli alandaki makaleleri memnuniyetle kabul etmektedir.
IKUJHS'nin hedef kitlesi, sağlık bilimlerinin tüm disiplinlerinde çalışan uzmanlar ve akademisyenlerdir. Dergi, İstanbul Kent Üniversitesi'nin resmi yayınıdır ve yılda üç kez; Mart, Temmuz ve Kasım aylarında yayımlanmaktadır.
Dergi, Türkçe ve İngilizce dillerinde yazılmış eserleri yayımlamaktadır.
