Purpose: Artificial Intelligence (AI) studies, which are developed to make technology more intelligent, are rapidly advancing around the world. Studies which contribute to the educational sciences have been developed through these technological developments. This study, compiled with the content analysis of AI applications adapted to the field of education in Turkey, has aimed to investigate what is done in this field and how it is adapted to education.

Design & Methodology: When searching academic research, 50 studies using AI technology in the field of education in Turkey were analyzed as contextual. The studies are examined under 5 headings: “method used in artificial intelligence technology”, “field of use in education”, “year of publication” “publication type” “educational purpose”.

Findings: As a result of the research, it has been observed that studies on AI are published in more articles in the field of education and the effects of these studies have been shown after the 2000s. In these studies, the smart teaching system as one of AI types has been mostly used. Many similar studies have been conducted with this technology but a common application has not been developed in the education field yet. Moreover, this technology has been used to identify students' learning styles and to provide a smart educational environment according to student styles.

Implications & Suggestions: It shows that AI can be intertwined with the psychology of learning and that integrated studies can be created with research on how learning occurs in the field of education. For this reason, there is a need to conduct and implement more detailed studies in education with the support of different branches of AI to identify student styles, diversify learning in the field of education by making predictions from large-scale data, focus on personalized solutions and complement deficiencies.
