A Test Based on Linear Rank Statistics for the Equality of Two Dispersion Parameters

Öz

This paper suggests a test statistic for ordered alternatives. Distributional properties of this test statistic were examined, and power comparisons were made. Klotz, Kamat and Siegel-Tukey tests were used in power comparisons. Especially when n=n1 + n2 is odd number and small, the suggested statistic was proven to be more powerful in comparison with the other three test statistics.

Öz

Bu çalışmada sıralı alternatifler için bir test istatistiği önerilmiştir. Bu test istatistiğinin dağılım özellikleri ve güç karşılaştırmaları yapılmıştır. Güç karşılaştırmalarında Klotz, Kamat ve Siegel-Tukey testleri kullanılmıştır. Özellikle n=n1 + n2 tek sayı ve küçük iken önerilen test istatistiğinin, karşılaştırılan diğer üç testten daha güçlü olduğu kanıtlanmıştır.
